The “I don’t have friends” scene:
An observation:
Sherlock is shaking very hard, his hands to his head like it hurts, he’s taking deep breaths like he can’t quite get them in all the way. He’s making frantic deductions to prove that he’s fine fine fine but even he knows he isn’t fine, and he is on the verge of tears.
Ladies and gentlemen, Sherlock Holmes is having a panic attack.
Have you ever had one? It feels a bit like you’re having a heart attack. Your chest hurts and you can’t breathe and you sometimes want to cry because it’s so bad, but you can’t even do that. You think you’re dying.
And JOHN, oh God, John has never made me more angry than he does in this scene. He’s being John, of course, and he’s hurt by the “I don’t have friends” comment, but he’s a doctor. His friend is SHAKING APART and he gets up and leaves him alone.
